Overview and Features

The Arcan Training Facility in Yellowknife is a key year-round development space for softball in the Northwest Territories, helping athletes stay active despite the region’s long winters and short playing season.

Shared with the Indigenous Sports Circle and Hockey NWT, the multi-sport facility is designed to support the growth of players, coaches, and umpires alike.

It is fully equipped for off-season training, featuring batting cages, pitching machines, pitching lanes, tees, and all the essential gear needed to build and maintain skills.

In addition to the training area, the facility also includes a meeting room where clinics and development sessions can be held for athletes, coaches, and umpires.

Together, these resources create an important hub for strengthening the sport and supporting long-term athlete development in the North.
